| For part b) It would depend on which type of taxes. For part c) While I believe in making regulation uncomplicated, I also want the regulation that does exist to be adhered to fully. For part e) With the implementation of medical cannabis in Maryland, this presents a huge challenge for patients who rely on their medicine for pain and trauma management. For part g) Delaware, West Virginia and New Jersey now have it. Pennsylvania is possibly going to roll it out soon. This causes a huge potential revenue loss for Maryland, so we need to look at options. | |||

For part c), I believe all immigrants to the United States should be given access to a clear path to citizenship. This would mean that they are entitled to the benefits of citizenship, including in-state tuition for public universities where it is offered. | |||

| As a Navy sharpshooter, I understand the importance of proper firearm training. I was not allowed to carry my sidearm until I was trained to handle it. Why do we not hold our civilians to these same standards? I am in favor of common sense gun laws that allow responsible gun owners to use firearms while preventing their misuse. We also need to hold the NRA accountable and remind them of what they once were before they essentially became the lobbying arm of the gun manufacturers: an agency that looked out for public safety, with proper training and gun regulation. | |||

For part d) There should be steps that a person has to take before this is allowed, to make sure it is the right decision for the individual and their family. | |||

We need to take care of our infants and children, our elderly, and our differently-abled. This begins with paid family and medical leave, where I will examine how other states have implemented their successful paid family and medical leave programs. Next, I want to pass Evelyn's Law, which would implement basic protections for elderly and disabled individuals in facilities and address the widespread elder abuse in our communities. All paid for by systemic efficiency improvements. |
